Audio plays fine from my PC with zero issues if I switch to a different audio device (my Corsair Void Pro for example). It doesn't seem to make a difference what settings I change in SB Command, the issue still happens. I can rule out my receiver by using any other input (radio, Xbox One, etc.) and with the XBO also using SPDIF the audio never cuts out unlike the X3. Checking the X3 it looks like the optical LED is still lit the entire time, even when audio cuts out. If I watch my receiver (Pioneer VSX-D508) when the audio cuts out the 5-channel audio indicators disappear. The audio will be playing normally and just completely stop. It does not matter what application is playing audio, I've experienced it when gaming and when listening to Spotify (among many other apps). I have to control audio in the individual applications or in EarTrumpet (Windows 10 can't control the volume otherwise).įor the last couple of days I've started having an issue where I'll be listening to audio and the audio will just cut out entirely. Pressing it in to mute doesn't do anything. Other gripes I have would be that I cannot control the audio whatsoever from the DAC if using SPDIF mode. There's an annoying silence when playing audio after no audio was playing, it takes the device 3-5 seconds usually to start actually sending audio to the receiver. This has been mostly working okay since February. My setup is PC > USB-C > X3 > SPDIF > Receiver I've been using it since February and only find more limitations or problems as time goes on. I honestly have several gripes with this DAC. Starting out, versions (all listed as up-to-date):
